Baptist Global Response
Note on Hurricane Matthew: Multiple organizations were already on the ground in Haiti before the storm struck, and they will administer a large amount of assistance after this disaster. BGR will focus our efforts in Cuba with nationally trained partners and the local church network. At this time we will not need US volunteers.
Thank you for choosing to explore volunteer opportunities on the BGR website. Volunteers are important to us. They provide hands, feet, and voices to the things we are concerned about.
For volunteering with ongoing projects, visit gobgr.org/volunteer to see a list of needs. On each request, use the contact information listed to find out more about the project.
Disaster Response Volunteers:
For disaster response, we have three types of volunteers we seek to engage when a catastrophic event happens: extensively trained volunteers, mid-level trained, and untrained volunteers. Our volunteers in a disaster primarily come from those who have been trained by BGR. Click here to read more about volunteering after a disaster.
