Hurricane Dorian settled over the Bahamas as a Category 5 hurricane. The storm caused extensive damage. BGR is on the ground responding with trusted partners. We will post the most current needs and updates to this page. In addition, find prayer requests and resources.

UPDATE: 5,000 Bahamians Seeking Shelter

BGR has received word from partners on the ground that an estimated 5,000 Bahamians have been evacuated and are actively seeking shelter. Another 1,650 who were not able to flee are still seeking other solutions. As of Thursday, September 12, additional teams have landed and will be further helping rehabilitate the affected communities.
