The Tabitha Ministries staff and board are participating in an extended period of prayer and fasting

The Tabitha Ministries staff and board are participating in an extended period of prayer and once-a-week fasting. They began in January and will continue until the end of March in preparation for the Friends of Tabitha meeting in April and as a means to seek God’s direction and blessing for and on the ministry.  Gail Trollip, Tabitha Ministries director, invites everyone to either partially or totally join the prayer and fasting effort.

1.  Pray for Hope Centre. Pray God will grant it financial resources, land for a new Hope Centre facility and capability to continue renovations for existing Hope Centre buildings (the boys’ dorm and the girls’ wing). Also, praise Him for the spiritual development in the Hope Centre kids, and ask that they continue to grow in their knowledge of the Lord. Pray for the health of the children at Hope Centre, as well, and pray for the many volunteers coming this year to help with the children. And thank Him that the Queen family has come alongside Tabitha!

2.   Pray for the community of Sweetwaters. Pray that Tabitha Ministries will find opportunities to build up the community by helping in micro-business training. Pray for the ladies doing beadwork and creating beautiful jewelry, asking that they would find sustainable markets for their products. Pray for the health of both the patients and children that Tabitha helps. Ask also for wisdom as the South African government ends its wage-grant program, which will mean Tabitha must let go of several caregivers and employees. Pray for the spiritual development of the staff and clients in Sweetwaters, as well. Finally, pray for the many volunteers coming to Sweetwaters this year to conduct soccer camps, VBS, home visits, etc.
