Wells for the Unwell

You’ve heard of villages where people must walk long distances to fetch water—but what happens to the people who can barely walk at all?

Eusibio has a congenital hip problem that limits his mobility. In the past, his wife has walked kilometers to fetch water from either a puddle in the bottom of a wet-weather drain or from a lake. But, he had to take over the chore whenever she was too sick or pregnant to do it.

And he had to struggle—in blazing heat—for every step.

Now, however, Eusibio can gather water just a few feet from his house! You see, friends like you funded a well for his village, and locals decided it should go right next to this man’s home.

Thank you for making this beautiful story possible. And if you can today, give again to share the gift of water with those in need.
