Restoring Dignity in a Drought

A drought can cost people more than food and water—it can cost them their dignity.
That’s why the water wells you have helped fund for communities like Leleti’s mean so much. They help these people feel human again.
Not long ago, Leleti and her friends and family were drawing their water from a rancid pool at the bottom of a riverbed. Animals urinated in it, and people bathed in it. Villagers fell ill with dysentery and parasites.
And now, Leleti drinks and cooks with clean water, and health in her community has improved. The water well has brought the village back to life!
But there are so many other places around the world where people still scrounge for water and live with horrible illnesses. Pray they will have water access soon.
