Greenhouse could mean major boost for community

BGR partners in Mexico plan to refurbish an old greenhouse, using it as the base for a tomato cultivation project that will spur community development. One partner says the greenhouse would operate as both a business and a training center. Through the project, partners will address a variety of community needs, including food production, employment, agricultural training and spiritual issues. Partners also hope to work with volunteers from their partners in the United States, First Baptist Church of Sweetwater, Tenn., and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Martin, Tenn. Pray that the greenhouse will be an effective center for training people in the community about how to maintain and operate a greenhouse. Pray that the income from the greenhouse will improve the standard of living for the workers.
