Alleviating poverty in rural Asia

The agricultural situation in two counties of this area of Asia is very poor. In an effort to help alleviate the residents' poverty, BGR partners are conducting training sessions and sending participants to receive other training in livestock management. Workshops on how to raise and sell rabbits also are in the works, as well as sessions on how to do micro-business enterprise. Sixty-five families were identified as needing this kind of assistance. The goal is that each family will eventually become self-sufficient and their businesses will be sustainable. Pray for wisdom and discernment as partners match needs with the appropriate skill or training so families can become self-sufficient. Pray that they will discover the meaning and purpose God has for their lives.
