Imagine living without a safety net—no insurance or savings to help out when life goes wrong. So many people in the world dangle on the edge of destitution. One bad storm or accident could wipe out their livelihood and their home. And they would have little means to rebuild.

But God created the body of Christ for just these moments. Philippians 2:4 says …

“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

Not long ago, a fire destroyed Tirunesh’s home and then decimated her livestock and barn. But, God empowered friends like you to take care of her!

Your generosity helped provide this woman with corrugated tin, nails and labor needed to rebuild her house. The gift freed up her funds so she could purchase new livestock, with help from neighbors and friends. Her life could go on—even after a disaster.

Tirunesh felt so grateful that she gave BGR partners a bag of eggs and insisted that they share a cup of coffee with her. Your faithful gifts give this kind of joy to so many other people who have lost hope. Today, help someone else who has suffered tragedy.
