How can a girl become a teacher if she can’t finish school?

Widows, Orphans, and Children | Print

How can a girl become a teacher if she can’t finish school? Mya dreams of standing in front of a blackboard and filling students’ minds with new knowledge. But, her parents don’t see the value of education. They barely survive on their farm, and they think Mya should stay home to work with them. They believe she should think more about planting and less about grades. Right now, they let her attend a BGR-funded school near her home. But, Mya doesn’t know how long they’ll let her attend. Pray for this little girl and her dreams. Pray her parents will understand the value of education.
