Freedom House

Human Trafficking | Print

“Before I came to Freedom House, I cried myself to sleep every night, and cried all day until I didn’t have any more tears. I tried to abort my baby with medicine and with alcohol. My family didn’t want me, and I was ashamed with nowhere to go. When I came to Freedom House, I learned that it’s possible to raise a baby on my own. I learned how to sew and bake, and set goals for my future. Now I feel independent and know that I can succeed when I move out.” –Diah, inhabitant of a BGR-supported aftercare home for former prostitutes
