Four or five people moved in with Maria after a fire tore through their neighborhood in Valparaiso, Chile, last April. Chilean news reported that the blaze burned close to 2,500 homes.
The dust was everywhere. Dirt roads wound through Habib’s town, and cars and pedestrians kicked the dust from them up into the air. Farmers had to wipe it from their fruit trees, and when it rained, people had to slog through mud to get to town.
A flood has devastated Jovica Gecan’s town in Serbia. So he has begun making couches.
