After graduating from Mississippi College, Larry received a Masters degree in Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Masters in Agriculture from Mississippi State University and a Ph. D. in university administration from the University of Mississippi. He is married to Cheryl Keathley Cox and they have four children. Larry lives in Rome, Georgia and serves as Senior Director, WinShape Foundation and Senior Director, Lifeshape.
Scott is a graduate of Carson-Newman College (B.A.), Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. with Languages), and Regent University (Ph.D.). He serves as Director of Lifeshape International in Mount Berry, GA. Scott is married to Janie, and they have three sons and three grandsons.
Chuck McAlister presently serves as the Team Leader of Evangelism, Church Planting & Collegiate Ministries for the Kentucky Baptist Convention. He is an effective communicator, hosting the Promise of Hope broadcast and Adventure Bound Outdoors, a national award-winning outdoor television program. Chuck has been the pastor of churches in five states, and for seventeen years he served as the senior pastor of The Church at Crossgate Center, formerly Second Baptist Church, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was a charter board member of Baptist Global Response. Chuck is a graduate of Clemson University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Janice, his wife and ministry partner of 40 years. They are the parents of Chris and Jeff, and the proud grandparents of Ashlynn, Madilynn, and Braelynn.
Susie Hawkins lives in Dallas and has been actively involved in women’s ministry as a pastor’s wife, teacher and volunteer. She served as the Director of Women’s Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas and has taught a weekly Bible study for business women in downtown Dallas. She speaks at women’s events and is also a contributor to various publications, such as Voices Behind the Veil and the “Old Testament Commentary of the Women’s Evangelical Library”. She is the author of From One Ministry Wife to Another”. She has also taught courses for the Certificate Program at Southwestern Theological Seminary. Susie has an MA in Christian Leadership from Criswell College as well as an MA in Theology. She is married to O. S. Hawkins, president of GuideStone Financial Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention and is the mother of two married daughters, Wendy and Holly, as well as a grandmother of six.
Kathy is passionate about children’s ministry. She has served as volunteer children’s director at every church her husband, Mike, has served as pastor, including the congregation they have served since 2002, Circle Drive Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. She has led children’s choirs, written and directed children’s music/dramas, planned and directed church camp for kids, and overseen every aspect of the ministry. She also is passionate about the global hunger crisis and has actively led families at Circle Drive Baptist Church to set an example for their children in caring for the hungry. A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Kathy has been a full-time mom for most of her married life. She has thoroughly enjoyed being a “stay at home mom” and investing her life into the lives of her three daughters.
Jay grew up in Georgetown, Texas where his dad was a rancher and businessman. He committed his life to Christ and by age 16 sensed the Lord's call to use his gifts to build God’s Kingdom. He attended Baylor University, New Orleans Seminary and received his doctorate from Southern Seminary in Kentucky. Jay and Mary Ruth have been blessed with four children. Jay served at First Baptist Montgomery starting in 1981 as the Associate Pastor. From 1984–1991 he served as the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Alexandria, Virginia. Jay went back to be the senior pastor of FBC Montgomery in 1991.
Byron is the lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas. He is a two-term past president of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention. A lifelong learner, Byron has earned an undergraduate and two advanced degrees. Before being called to ministry, he worked as an accountant for one of the largest oil companies in the world in Houston, Texas. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Andi, for 31 years and they have three grown children.
