Scott, a graduate of Carson-Newman College (B.A.), Southeastern Baptist Theological Sem¬inary (M.Div. with Languages), and Regent University (Ph.D.), serves as Vice President of Global Strategic Mobilization at the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Before moving to Richmond, Virginia, Scott worked in southeast Asia, northern Africa, and Europe. He and his wife Janie have three sons and three grandsons.
Mike is from Houston, Texas, a graduate of the University of Houston (B.A.) as well as Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M. Div. and Ph. D.). He currently serves as Dean of the College of Intercultural Studies, Professor of Intercultural Studies and History of Global Christianity at Columbia International University in South Carolina. He and his wife Cindy had business careers before serving the past 22 years alongside various international business, ministry, and education organizations. They have two adult children.
Chuck McAlister presently serves as the Team Leader of Evangelism, Church Planting & Collegiate Ministries for the Kentucky Baptist Convention. He is an effective communicator, hosting the Promise of Hope broadcast and Adventure Bound Outdoors, a national award-winning outdoor television program. Chuck has been the pastor of churches in five states, and for seventeen years he served as the senior pastor of The Church at Crossgate Center, formerly Second Baptist Church, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was a charter board member of Baptist Global Response. Chuck is a graduate of Clemson University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Janice, his wife and ministry partner of 40 years. They are the parents of Chris and Jeff, and the proud grandparents of Ashlynn, Madilynn, and Braelynn.
After graduating from Mississippi College, Larry received a Masters degree in Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Masters in Agriculture from Mississippi State University and a Ph. D. in university administration from the University of Mississippi. He is married to Cheryl Keathley Cox and they have four children. Two are living with their families overseas and two in the USA. Larry and Cheryl served with the International Mission Board for 23 years in various leadership capacities. Presently, Larry lives in Rome, Georgia and serves as Senior Director, WinShape Foundation and Senior Director, Lifeshape.
Susie Hawkins lives in Dallas and has been actively involved in women’s ministry as a pastor’s wife, teacher and volunteer. She served as the Director of Women’s Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas and has taught a weekly Bible study for business women in downtown Dallas. She speaks at women’s events and is also a contributor to various publications, such as Voices Behind the Veil and the “Old Testament Commentary of the Women’s Evangelical Library”. She is the author of From One Ministry Wife to Another”. She has also taught courses for the Certificate Program at Southwestern Theological Seminary. Susie has an MA in Christian Leadership from Criswell College as well as an MA in Theology. She is married to O. S. Hawkins, president of GuideStone Financial Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention and is the mother of two married daughters, Wendy and Holly, as well as a grandmother of six.
Stuart Bell is a native of Memphis, Tenn. He is a graduate John Brown University (JBU) in Siloam Springs, Arkansas (1983), and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas (1987). After working as an assistant manager at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., he served as youth minister at Field Street Baptist Church in Cleburne, Texas and First Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. He then pastored two Arkansas churches (Forrest Park Baptist, Pine Bluff and First Baptist, Searcy) before becoming the pastor of First Baptist Centerton in February of 1998. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children, Lucas and Emily, with her husband Matt.
Since 1983, Dr. Robert Jackson has served as pastor of Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville, NC. In addition to serving as a member of the BGR Board of Directors, he serves on the Board of South Yadkin Baptist Association and Mooresville Area Bible Teaching Association. He and his wife, Linda, have three children.
Kathy is passionate about children’s ministry. She has served as volunteer children’s director at every church her husband, Mike, has served as pastor, including the congregation they have served since 2002, Circle Drive Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. She has led children’s choirs, written and directed children’s music/dramas, planned and directed church camp for kids, and overseen every aspect of the ministry. She also is passionate about the global hunger crisis and has actively led families at Circle Drive Baptist Church to set an example for their children in caring for the hungry. A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Kathy has been a full-time mom for most of her married life. She has thoroughly enjoyed being a “stay at home mom” and investing her life into the lives of her three daughters.
