Susie Hawkins lives in Dallas and has been actively involved in women’s ministry as a pastor’s wife, teacher and volunteer. She served as the Director of Women’s Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas and has taught a weekly Bible study for business women in downtown Dallas. She speaks at women’s events and is also a contributor to various publications, such as Voices Behind the Veil and the “Old Testament Commentary of the Women’s Evangelical Library”. She is the author of From One Ministry Wife to Another”. She has also taught courses for the Certificate Program at Southwestern Theological Seminary. Susie has an MA in Christian Leadership from Criswell College as well as an MA in Theology. She is married to O. S. Hawkins, president of GuideStone Financial Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention and is the mother of two married daughters, Wendy and Holly, as well as a grandmother of six.
After graduating from Mississippi College, Cox received the master's degree from Southern Baptist Seminary and Mississippi State University. He received a PhD from the University of Mississippi. Married to Cheryl Keathley Cox, they have four children and 13 grandchildren. During 23 years with the International Mission Board they lived in six counties in Europe, Africa, and Asia. He led IMB missionaries in Eastern Europe and the Middle East and Northern Africa and served as a Vice President in the home office. Cox served on the Mississippi College staff and faculty for six years. During the past 12 years, he has been a leader with the philanthropic organizations of Chick-fil-A. Currently, he is President/CEO of Lifeshape.
Scott Holste serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Lifeshape. In this role, he oversees the organization’s efforts to connect marketplace professionals with significant opportunities to transform individuals, communities, and nations. Prior to serving in this role, Scott served as Vice President for Global Strategic Mobilization with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention where he provided oversight to the board’s marketplace advance initiative, international human needs ministries, and creative access strategies. Scott earned his Ph.D. in the study of organizational leadership and has researched the impact of trust on the transfer of knowledge within organizations. He has coauthored articles for the Academy of Management, the Journal of Knowledge Management, Mission Frontiers, and other publications. He is a contributing author to Discovering the Mission of God (InterVarsity Press, 2012). Scott and his wife Janie live in Rome, Georgia and have worked in southeast Asia, northern Africa, and Europe. They have three sons and four grandchildren.
Chuck McAlister, Promise of Hope Ministries, is an effective communicator, hosting the Promise of Hope broadcast and Adventure Bound Outdoors, a national award-winning outdoor television program. Chuck has been the pastor of churches in five states, and for seventeen years he served as the senior pastor of The Church at Crossgate Center, formerly Second Baptist Church, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was a charter board member of Baptist Global Response. Chuck is a graduate of Clemson University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Janice, his wife and ministry partner of over 40 years. They are the parents of Chris and Jeff, and the proud grandparents of Ashlynn, Madilynn, and Braelynn.
Kathy grew up in Kentucky but has lived in Colorado Springs the last fifteen years where her husband, Mike, serves as pastor of Circle Drive Baptist Church. She is currently serving as children's director of grades 1-5. Mike and Kathy have three daughters, two sons-in-law and three amazing, wonderful and energetic grandsons! Her favorite things are teaching and leading children to know and follow God, missions, and family!
Chuck grew up outside Baton Rouge and attended Comite Baptist Church where he met his future wife, Tracy. Soon after they were married, Chuck surrendered to God’s call to vocational ministry. That decision resulted in much formal education. He is a graduate of Mississippi College (B.A.), Biola University (M.A.), and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. and Ph.D). That decision also resulted in much informal education as Chuck has served churches in Mississippi and Louisiana since 1981. Since 1999, he has served as the lead pastor of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. He and Tracy have two daughters and two grandsons.
Jeff Long grew up outside of Hickory, NC. He came to faith in Christ as a teenager and was called to ministry while a senior in high school. After graduating from college, six days later he married his lovely wife, Celeste. In 1992, he was called to serve as the Youth Pastor at Parkwood. After the retirement of Dr. Ned Mathews in 1999, he was called as the Senior Pastor. The Lord has blessed Jeff and Celeste with four wonderful children; Jacob, Anna, Mary Claire, and Andrew.
J.D. Greear is the pastor The Summit Church, in Raleigh-Durham, NC, and author of multiple books. He holds a Ph. D. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. J.D. is married to Veronica and has four children.
